Agro-food economy

The main objective of the Agricultural Economics programme is to promote research work and provide technical assistance services in the fields of economics and social sciences applied to the agricultural and food sectors.

It also seeks to contribute to the rural development of our society and to gain a better understanding of the complex relationships which unite the food industry and the territory and environment in which its activity is conducted.

Activities include a socio-economic study of the entire chain from the producer to the final consumer, an analysis of prices, the impact of policies and, in particular, an analysis of consumer behaviour.
